Aloha,
As I write this, we are in the midst of our special time of worship and
revival. Rick Coram is with us again from Jacksonville, Florida, and he
has been faithful to bring God's Word to us with compassion and
conviction. The music has been fantastic in providing us an atmosphere
of worship and our ministry teams have been a wonderful tool in God's
hands to speak and minister to us in these days. Remember: you can check
the church's website for the archived worship times and allow God to use
them in an ongoing basis for your spiritual renewal. I pray that God
will continue to rekindle our hearts for Him and His will in the days to
come. With all that He is doing in us and around us and through us, we
have plenty of reasons and opportunities to remain rekindled!
This month, we will celebrate our Super Sunday Season Opener for Sunday
morning Bible study. This past week, we had 99 in Sunday School! We
cannot allow ourselves to be satisfied with any number of people that we
may have in Sunday School until we cannot think of another person to
invite or until all have come. Praise the Lord for the hunger in our
hearts to fellowship and study His Word together on Sunday Mornings. If
you are not a part of this great ministry, please come Sunday morning at
9:00 am. We'll have a seat for you!
Our VBS team from Brandon, MS brought another incredible week of
excitement and fun mixed with great Bible teaching to our VBS this
summer. Many mahalos to Everett & Teresa, Pastor Scott & Dacia, Linda &
David, Linda, and Wendy & Josta and all of our folks for sharing with
our community and the keiki of Lahaina.
We also enjoyed having Corey Perkins with us this summer as our summer
missionary from Arkansas. Corey was a great blessing to us all and we
hope to have him serve with us again in the future. As he continues this
semester at Ouachita Baptist University, we pray that God will continue
to use him for His glory. Mahalo Corey and a hui hou!
Have an awesome August and enjoy your relationship with Jesus! Allow the
Holy Spirit to guide your steps and lead you through the coming days.
Continue to pray for God to guide us in His mighty plans for LBC! |
